From the Dartmouth police blotter: Aug. 12, 4:30 a.m., Webster Avenue Hanover Police arrived at Phi Delta Alpha fraternity after receiving a call from Safety and Security that an intoxicated Phi Delt member had fallen out of his bed and sustained injuries to his head. Blood covered the floor of his room and the 20-year-old male faded in and out of consciousness. When paramedics asked the student, a member of the Class of 2009, for his name, he responded by saying only "asshole." The rising junior repeated this response to a number of questions, including inquiries regarding his injury. |

So this summer I'm going to be interning with an Affordable Housing organization on Bainbridge Island Cons: Not diversifying my experiences, unpaid (=parents arent thrilled) Pros: i am actually quite qualified, it's a small group--from the sounds of it I'm going to get to do a lot of cool things and make a big impact, i don't have to buy a new wardrobe, and FERRY BOATS TO WORK EVERYDAY!!!!! haha oh ya, and i care a lot about the issue :) Current Music: why do i always forget my headphones when i go to the library? |

I had lunch with another Tri Delt who is from Lynnwood and we spent the whole time reminiscing about Hood Canel and ferry boats and Seattle and HOME!!!! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE it here so much but I'll have been here for over a year straight come June (and I'll have senior year and all of my friends back on campus to look forward to) and I'm super excited to go home and play with my dog, drink wine with my mother, ride real horses, read on the beach at our cabin and get good and tired of Seattle before I head back to the frigid north :) Now if I could only find a job.... |
